Katherine Krauskopf, MD

Medical Director, Substance Use Disorder Services

Katherine Krauskopf, MD, MPH, joined the MiraVista Behavioral Health Center team in April 2021, after serving as Medical Director for Outpatient Addiction Services at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital for four years.  In her current role as Medical Director of Substance Use Disorder Services, Dr. Krauskopf is fortunate to be able to work with people across our continuum on their recovery. She also currently serves as a Medical Director of the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Department Opioid Treatment Program.

Having previously worked as a primary care provider with the City of Springfield Health Services for the Homeless program, in general primary care, and in HIV and Hepatitis C care settings, Dr. Krauskopf has an interest in the intersection of public health, addiction, and underserved populations.  Her prior research in health beliefs and chronic diseases informs her approach to treating substance use disorders.  She truly enjoys providing this care, and the everyday experience of witnessing people healing and engaging in recovery.  She is interested in optimizing services to address the primary and preventative health care needs of patients with substance use disorders.

Dr. Krauskopf completed an internal medicine residency and a general internal medicine fellowship in HIV and primary care at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.  She is board certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine.
